The present study focuses on finding an economic design of nozzles used in water discharge lines. An analytical solution is reached for computing the pipe-nozzle diameter ratio achieving minimum pipe cost using derivative method. derived equation shows that at a particular ratio, CP minimum. However, this evident from worked illustrative example. On comparison basis between and conventional one, satisfactory reduction cost, which may reach 56.7%. It great interest to recognize that, by increasing relative distance 400, 231 % associated with increase power jet 41.5 %, are verified. Also, achieves ranging 34 39.7 depending frictional effects approach pipe. reflects reliability lines delivering free jets. there many engineering applications in; filters, flotation tanks, sedimentation storage trickling other units wastewater systems.
